Welcome to the website of the Research Department of the Regional Open Social Institute!

The Regional Open Social Institute (ROSI) was established in 1994, becoming one of the first non-state universities in Russia. From the first years of the institute's existence, the organization of effective research activities was considered as a priority task. Its implementation was facilitated by active participation in international academic cooperation programs and grant competitions. In the 1990s ROSI has established itself as a solid center of academic knowledge in the field of Law and Pedagogy, the following decades were marked by the development of research in the field of Russian history and Religious studies. In 2012 the period of formation of research traditions in the field of exact and natural sciences (primarily related to information and bio-technologies) began. In 2015 ROSI launched its own journal, Provincial Scientific Proceedings. On its pages, as well as in many other reputable scientific publications, the Institute's staff regularly reflect the results of their research. The considerable scientific reserve available to the ROSI team makes it possible to win grants from solid scientific foundations, as well as to conclude contracts for conducting research with partners.

ROSI regularly becomes a platform for academic and practical conferences, seminars, round tables on topical public, scientific and technological problems, organized with the participation of partners from the Kursk region - the Administration of the Kursk region, the court and prosecutor's office, educational institutions of all levels, as well as public and business structures.

In recent years, there has been a noticeable increase in the volume of scientific work in the field of applied research and development, which indicates the desire of the University to carry out research that is in demand by society. Our motto is that science should help in life: explain the phenomena we encounter, solve practical problems, and promote the creation of new, more perfect "recipes" for creative activity. The partners are in stable demand for innovative methods of ROSI employees in the field of measuring the quality of education in modern universities, developments in the field of food technologies, developments in the field of IT.

We realize that success of research work largely depends on cooperation with other organizations, including from the business world. Therefore, we invite potential partners to constructive and mutually beneficial cooperation!
