The research is aimed at studying the theory as well as useful domestic and foreign experience in the development of information culture of youth. The purpose of the study is to identify and describe the most promising areas of formation of information (digital) culture of modern students.
Research objectives:
- analysis of the content and evolution of the concepts of "information culture of the individual", “information culture of society" at different stages of social development;
- study of the problem of existing contradictions, possible risks and social consequences of global informatization in the Russian Federation and foreign countries;
- description of the hierarchy of levels of formation of information culture among modern students;
- collection of materials that allow forming an idea of trends, dynamics and models of building a modern information society, both in the territory of the Russian Federation and in foreign countries.
