The research is intended to contribute to the formation of modern tools for the development of geographical culture of Russian youth. The purpose of the study is to develop methodological foundations for the effective formation of geographical culture of students.
Research objectives:
- to reveal the essence, content, structure of the geographical culture of the individual as a pedagogical phenomenon;
- to determine the criteria, indicators and levels of formation of geographical culture of students;
- to identify and substantiate the model, pedagogical conditions and mechanisms of formation of geographical culture of students of higher educational institutions.
The results of the study can be useful to teachers of universities and secondary vocational educational institutions, specialists in the field of didactics, researchers.
